Audio Damage have added a new player in their line of generously priced and ridiculously cool plugins. I was reading about it shortly before going to bed last night.

Just had an insightful discussion in official Project 5 forums as to the differences between Project 5 and Sonar, and specifically what P5 offers that Sonar does not.
While there are arguably a number of perks native to P5 that are not on offer in Sonar, for me it comes down to the Groove Matrix and MIDI audition.

Found, natch, through KvR (I gotta find another way to waste my time!):
Apparently, this has been a podcast for a while, but I can’t really get myself excited about podcasting in general. Perhaps it’s because I don’t really listen to radio that much, and when I’m working or surfing I mostly listen to music. There’s no reasonable way to skim an audio broadcast without a lot of rewinding and adjusting to keep context, and with the number of probably excellent podcasts out there it’s easy to become overwhelmed.

Apparently Sony ACID Pro has tacked on a “b” to is new ver 6.
It was my first sequencer, back in the day, and it showed me how I could write and record music on my computer. (more…)

Two announcements out of Boston (strange a city I live right next to and try to avoid is the home of my favorite music developers). For Sonar it’s the annual, buy-now-upgrade-free for Sonar. And for Project5 2, a free update at some point in “Q4 2007.”
Of the two, I am much more intrigued by the later. (more…)
