Despite what I said earlier, I’ve managed to borrow from Peter to pay Paul, i.e. I’ve shuffled a few finances and grabbed my upgrade of Sonar 6.

I was perusing my web reports and I see that a number of my search hits come from people doing searches on the M-Audio Trigger Finger. Since they won’t find much here other than a few references to the fact that I use this particular hardware, I don’t want them to go away empty handed. So I present to you, my Trigger Finger Cheat Sheet.

Cakewalk has casually announced that the first batch of Sonar 6 has started to ship. That collective orgasmic “ahh” you will hear will be the first ones arriving as Sonar Diehards get it on their harddrives. Alas, I will not be among them.

Just so we’re clear.
The author of this blog is in no way affiliated with Cakewalk or anyother commercial software development concern. I have not seen Sonar 6 other than the same screenshots everyone else has, and I certainly haven’t used it. I’m just trying to help out where I can, and Sonar (Kontakt, microTonic, BFD et cetera) happens to be the program(s) I use.
If this situation changes, I will certainly be as candid about it as any NDA I might sign will allow. But always, the contents of these posts will be about my experiences as a user of audio software, and the exploration of recording digitally on a real-world budget.

No, not linking to plugins (jesus, people, haven’t you all downloaded everything already? There not hard to find.)
What I’m saying, “Free plugins!” as in, “Free the Chicago Seven!” or “Free Tibet!” or “Free Keith Richards!” Isn’t it time we got beyond this whole VST/DX/RTAS/AU bullshit?
